Content Lead

A full-time, remote editorial role for a mid-level writer and editor who wants to lead a weekly business and technology newsletter covering African markets. The organisation publishes newsletters read by founders, investors and business leaders across the continent, and also runs events and talent services. The role suits an experienced reporter who can write feature stories, edit colleagues and freelancers, and help decide what gets published next. What you'll do

• Research and write a weekly long-form feature on the business and economy of African tech
• Edit a weekly news roundup and pieces from junior writers and freelance contributors
• Find and develop stories through personal sources, company filings and funding data
• Help review pitches submitted through an open pitch programme
• Work with editorial leadership on new formats, content pillars and ways to grow engagement
• Respond to reader feedback and use it to improve future editions
