Senior Security Engineer (Remote)

What you'll do

• Own the technical design and review process for security-critical systems, making sure new features meet strong standards for data protection and resilience
• Apply deep expertise in one or more security domains such as cloud security, application security, or data security to complex problems
• Identify inefficient or insufficient technical approaches and redirect effort toward the highest-return security work
• Build and deploy automation and tooling that improves security monitoring and incident response
• Break broad security objectives into clear deliverables and architectural requirements for the wider engineering team
• Give technical feedback in code and design reviews to raise the security bar across engineering

What you need

• Proven record of making high-stakes technical security decisions with positive long-term results
• Strong background in security engineering, with mastery of at least one domain such as cloud security, AppSec, or data security
• Experience with Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and modern cloud security tooling is valued
• Ability to explain complex security risk clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Calm, disciplined approach to handling security escalations and incidents without jumping to conclusions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and willing to travel occasionally to headquarters
