AI Process Forward Deployed Engineer (Remote - Worldwide)
The employer hires across regions through a global employer partner where needed. Occasional travel may be required. This is a customer-facing engineering role at a fast-growing enterprise software company that provides a platform for orchestrating AI agents, people and systems across business processes, with built-in governance and human oversight. The team is launching a new AI product that turns natural-language process descriptions into executable BPMN workflows and improves them from production data. You will be one of the first Forward Deployed Engineers taking this product into production at enterprise customers, owning the journey from the first process file to a working, improving system, and handing it over to the customer's team.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end deployments at enterprise customers, from first process file to a running workflow with measurable improvement over time.
- Set up and configure clusters, debug integration failures, and build custom AI agents where standard defaults do not fit, including against legacy APIs.
- Work across Java services and React interfaces, and feed fixes and feature ideas from customer work back into the product.
- Work with technical and business stakeholders to turn early deployments into lasting customer capability.
- Document repeatable patterns and a deployment playbook so each new rollout is faster.
- Train customer teams so they can operate and improve workflows independently.
What you need
- Experience shipping software in a large organisation in production, with an understanding of governance, resilience and scale.
- Solid technical depth: able to debug integration issues, write integrations against legacy APIs, and explain generated workflow diagrams to both engineers and business leaders.
- Practical experience using AI in production systems, including context management, prompt engineering, agent testing and integration trade-offs.
- Strong written and spoken English and the ability to communicate clearly across engineering, architecture and business audiences.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make sound judgement calls and document what you learn.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and to use the company's product.
