AI Infrastructure / Product Engineer (Remote - US only)

A healthtech company is applying AI to legal document workflows and needs an engineer who can connect AI research with dependable production software. You will help turn prototypes into reliable features and build the evaluation and monitoring systems that show whether those features actually work. The role sits between research, backend engineering and product, and suits someone who enjoys making ambiguous ideas usable.

What you'll do

• Build repeatable benchmarks and evaluation pipelines that measure model accuracy, hallucination rates, retrieval quality, latency and cost.
• Create dashboards so the team can see how changes to the system affect performance.
• Turn research prototypes into production retrieval, drafting, document processing and agent workflows.
• Develop backend services, APIs and internal tools that support testing and releases.
• Deploy and operate cloud infrastructure, including monitoring, databases and delivery pipelines.
• Stay in close contact with AI researchers and with product and user needs.

What you need

• At least 3 years of experience as a software, infrastructure or product engineer building and deploying production systems.
• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience deploying software to the cloud.
• Experience building evaluation pipelines, benchmarks or assessment systems for machine learning or AI systems.
• Experience with APIs, databases, backend services, deployment pipelines and monitoring or performance dashboards.
• Ability to take experimental code and turn it into maintainable products.
• Must be located in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
