Senior AI Solutions Engineer (Remote - EMEA or AMER)

A remote-first global workforce company that helps employers hire, pay and support staff across many countries is looking for a senior, hands-on AI solutions engineer. The role sits within the company's AI team and focuses on redesigning how core business functions such as People, Legal, Finance and Operations work with AI. You will report to the AI Director and work closely with functional leaders. The company is distributed across 60+ countries and has an asynchronous, collaborative way of working.

What you'll do

• Identify high-value opportunities with functional leaders and decide where AI should, and should not, be applied
• Design, build, test and improve AI agents, agentic workflows, automations and integrations using LLMs, orchestration tools, APIs and enterprise data
• Lead initiatives end to end, from an unclear problem through design, deployment and adoption
• Measure adoption, quality, reliability and business impact after launch, and keep improving solutions based on real usage
• Share reusable patterns with other AI solutions engineers and help colleagues build confidence working with AI
• Balance value, feasibility, risk, data quality and human oversight in every solution

What you need

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI and automation, plus broader experience delivering complex solutions in business operations, transformation, solutions engineering or systems integration
• Track record of redesigning workflows or operating models, not only automating isolated tasks
• Strong automation skills with tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make or similar orchestration platforms
• Experience building and deploying production AI agents or agentic workflows, and integrating business systems through APIs, webhooks and authentication methods
• Strong experience in at least one complex business function such as People, Legal, Finance or Operations, and the ability to influence leaders and mentor colleagues
• Based in the EMEA or AMER region and authorized to work there
