Software Engineer, AI Data (Remote, Netherlands)

A fast-growing AI audio company with a fully distributed team of close to 200 people builds the data pipelines behind its model training and next-generation AI products. You will join the AI team to find new sources of audio data and turn them into reliable, high-quality training datasets at very large scale. The work sits between engineering, infrastructure and research, and you will have real ownership over problems from discovery through to continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Find and evaluate new sources of audio data and build dependable pipelines to bring them into training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems, optimizing for data quality, throughput and cost.
• Work closely with AI scientists to improve training datasets and support the development of future models.
• Take ownership of engineering projects from initial problem definition through implementation and ongoing improvement.
• Operate production systems and keep data pipelines reliable as volumes grow.

What you need

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and running production systems, ideally data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous settings.
• Must be based in the Netherlands and able to work remotely from there.
