Software Engineer, AI Data (Remote - India)

A fully distributed, fast-growing company building audio and text-to-speech products used by tens of millions of people. The AI team is looking for a software engineer to build the data pipelines that feed model training and next-generation AI products. The work centers on sourcing new audio data, processing it at very large scale, and improving dataset quality and cost. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and works closely with AI researchers.

What you'll do

• Find and evaluate new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines to bring them into training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems, optimizing for quality, throughput and cost.
• Work closely with AI scientists to improve training datasets and support new model development.
• Own engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and ongoing improvement.

What you need

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with solid backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, ideally data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous settings.
• Must be based in India to apply under this remote listing.
