AI/ML Software Engineer

This is a hands-on role building AI, machine learning and data platform solutions across a group of operating companies in a portfolio investment setting. The work spans internal LLM applications, data pipelines, ML-powered product features and scalable data infrastructure, with a strong focus on turning data into practical business results. It suits an experienced engineer who enjoys leading delivery end to end, advising teams on practical approaches to AI adoption, and sharing knowledge across several companies. The position is fully remote and open to candidates worldwide.

What you'll do

• Lead AI/ML and data engineering projects across portfolio companies, working directly with operating company teams
• Build data pipelines, model integrations, internal LLM applications, APIs and supporting infrastructure
• Develop LLM-powered tools and workflows to improve operations, productivity and product capabilities
• Identify opportunities to commercialise data through new products, features and analytics offerings
• Support training, workshops and best-practice sharing to build AI and data skills across teams
• Own delivery from scoping through production handoff, including knowledge transfer

What you need

• Demonstrated experience deploying machine learning, data engineering and applied AI solutions at scale
• Familiarity with LLM applications, model APIs, retrieval workflows and evaluation approaches
• Production experience with cloud ML and data tooling such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Spark, Kafka or Databricks
• Proficiency in Python, R and SQL
• Experience building forecasting solutions and translating business problems into AI/ML solutions
• Strong communication skills and comfort working across engineering, product and business teams
