Customer Service Representative

A hybrid customer service role in Lagos with a financial services organisation, suited to someone who enjoys helping people make sense of their money and solving problems calmly. The role covers customer enquiries across several channels, account onboarding, explaining products and fees, and working through failed or disputed transactions with the relevant teams. It suits candidates with a few years of customer-facing or financial services experience who communicate clearly, handle pressure well and take care with security and accuracy.

What you'll do

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, live chat, social media and in person
• Assist with account opening, registration, verification and onboarding
• Explain financial products, services, fees and terms to customers
• Resolve complaints and service-related issues
• Investigate failed, delayed or disputed transactions and coordinate resolutions
• Verify customer identities and follow account security procedures

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field
• 2–5 years' relevant experience in the financial industry or a related field
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good decision-making abilities
• Experience with business growth or lead conversion is desirable
