Ethical Hacking Tutor

This remote role is for a cybersecurity professional who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping learners build real-world security skills. The work centres on teaching ethical hacking, penetration testing and security assessment in a safe, supervised way, so students learn to spot weaknesses and protect computer systems and networks. It suits someone with hands-on security experience who communicates clearly, enjoys guiding others through practical labs, and cares about responsible, lawful use of security tools.

What you'll do

• Teach ethical hacking and cybersecurity fundamentals
• Introduce students to network security and vulnerability assessment
• Provide practical penetration testing training in authorised environments
• Explain web application security and common vulnerabilities
• Guide students through controlled security labs and exercises
• Educate learners on cybersecurity ethics, legal requirements and responsible disclosure

What you need

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and ethical hacking
• Understanding of networking, Linux and web application security
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite or Metasploit
• Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and security best practices
• Strong analytical, communication and teaching skills
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, Security+ or OSCP are an advantage
