Founding Product & Brand Designer (Remote - US & Europe)

This is the first full-time design hire at an early-stage technology startup building software for the hiring process. You will shape the product's direction and brand, working on experiences that are useful and polished for both job candidates and employers. The company is small and moving quickly, so this role carries real ownership over what gets built and how it looks.

What you'll do

• Research user needs and product opportunities, then help decide what the team should build next.
• Lead design work end to end, from discovery and early concepts through prototypes, detailed interfaces, and launch.
• Define a consistent visual identity across the product, website, and other brand touchpoints.
• Create design system components and standards that let engineering move fast without sacrificing quality.
• Work closely with engineers, talk with users, and refine the product based on how people actually use it.

What you need

• A working portfolio showing shipped, high-quality modern desktop B2B or SaaS products with strong interaction and visual design.
• Product design experience covering user research, strategy, user flows, prototyping, and detailed UI execution.
• Comfort working directly with engineers and taking ownership in an early-stage or entrepreneurial setting.
• Strong product judgment, visual craft, and a bias toward shipping and improving real experiences.
• Must be based in the United States or Europe to be eligible.
• Experience with AI products, two-sided marketplaces, or frontend implementation is a plus but not required.
