Freelance Video Editor and Animator

A remote, project-based freelance role creating videos for the launch and promotion of a software-as-a-service product aimed at founders and small business owners. The company is a technology, training and consulting business building SaaS and AI-powered tools for small and medium-sized enterprises, and supports startups at every stage. The role suits a creative video editor and motion designer who can turn demonstrations and scripts into clear, engaging content for social media, campaigns and product education, and who is comfortable working independently to deadlines.

What you'll do

• Produce launch videos, adverts, product explainers, tutorials and short social media videos
• Edit footage, screen recordings, voiceovers and supplied assets into polished content
• Create motion graphics, animated text, transitions and animated product interface workflows
• Adapt videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube formats
• Add captions, sound effects and appropriately licensed music while keeping branding consistent
• Collaborate on concepts and storyboards, incorporate feedback and deliver final and editable source files

What you need

• Strong video editing skills, including effective use of AI tools
• Proficiency in motion graphics and animation, such as After Effects or equivalent
• Understanding of storytelling, pacing, typography, composition and sound design
• Familiarity with platform-specific formats, aspect ratios and caption placement
• A portfolio demonstrating video editing and animation work
• Reliable equipment and internet, and availability for remote meetings in UK working hours
