Full-Stack Design Engineer (Visa Sponsorship - San Francisco, USA)

Visa sponsorship available. A growing AI infrastructure company builds tools for creating and evaluating reinforcement learning environments. The team is looking for a full-stack design engineer to shape product experiences that help users understand how AI agents behave, improve their training data, and make better decisions. You will work across design and engineering, from first concepts through to release.

What you'll do

• Design and build interfaces across the core platform and its marketplace, from early sketches to production release.
• Present agent runs, evaluation results, reward signals and quality feedback in ways that are clear and easy to act on.
• Partner with research and engineering teams to turn complex reinforcement learning and evaluation workflows into practical tools.
• Speak with users, observe where they struggle, and refine the product based on what you learn.
• Build reusable interaction patterns and uphold high standards for usability, visual quality and implementation.

What you need

• At least 3 years of experience as a design engineer, product designer or similar role shipping product interfaces, with a mainly full-stack engineering background.
• Strong front-end engineering skills and a track record of turning design work into working product interfaces.
• A portfolio showing shipped design-engineering work and high visual design quality.
• Experience launching products, learning from users and iterating on feedback.
• Technical education or background, clear communication, and comfort working closely with engineers and researchers.
• Useful extras: developer tools, data-rich products, research software, AI agents, evaluations, reinforcement learning, training data, or early-stage company experience.
