Marketing & Events Lead (Visa Sponsorship - San Francisco, USA)

Visa sponsorship available. A small, technical team at an early-stage AI infrastructure company is hiring a marketing and events lead to shape how the company presents itself and to grow its audience among technical people. The role sits close to the founders and works on the company's public story, its written and social content, and its presence at conferences and developer communities. The company is looking for someone who can work independently in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll do

• Own the marketing strategy and content calendar, and refine brand voice and positioning across channels.
• Run day-to-day social media on X and LinkedIn to grow engagement, audience size and inbound interest.
• Help write founder content covering product direction, technical insights and platform progress.
• Turn complex AI and machine learning topics into accurate, clear material for technical readers.
• Test content formats, measure results with analytics and double down on what works.
• Find relevant conferences, hackathons and technical communities, then plan and run events and speaking opportunities that support brand and pipeline.

What you need

• Two to seven years of experience in marketing, content or community roles, ideally at startups.
• A track record of growing social accounts or company brands.
• A portfolio showing you can explain technical products simply and accurately.
• Hands-on experience planning and running events, meetups or community programs from start to finish.
• Familiarity with AI communities and the AI landscape; experience with AI/ML, developer tools or technical B2B products is a plus.
• Comfortable with social and content analytics, growth strategies and a clear point of view on technical storytelling.
• Must be based in the San Francisco area or willing to relocate to it, as the role is onsite.
