Full-Stack Engineer, Backend Leaning (Remote - UK, EU and US)

Candidates elsewhere are considered only in exceptional cases. A fast-growing AI audio company is hiring full-stack engineers with a backend focus for its core platform team. This team builds the shared foundations other product teams rely on, including how users, workspaces and permissions work. The systems handle a large volume of traffic and are relied on by both individual users and enterprise customers, so correctness, security and safe rollouts are priorities. The company works in small autonomous teams and has no fixed job titles; impact is what counts.

What you'll do

• Build and improve customer-facing features such as API keys, login flows, analytics, admin tooling and workspace security, from backend services through to admin and settings interfaces.
• Design and build generic resource and permissioning services that internal product teams use to ship features safely.
• Work with sales, field engineering and customer teams to turn enterprise and self-serve feedback into concrete improvements, including support for complex organisational structures.
• Scope changes within a large existing system, assessing rollout risk, migration needs and downstream impact.
• Debug and operate what you build using customer reports, logs and code.

What you need

• Strong Python skills.
• A solid background in backend development, and comfort working across the stack when needed.
• Experience with API design, common system design patterns, cloud infrastructure and storage solutions.
• Good test design and security fundamentals.
• Careful, detail-oriented habits when changing live, business-critical systems, and the ability to learn a large codebase quickly.
• Comfort with ambiguity and with prioritising competing needs.
• Evidence of hard problems solved, shown through past projects or open source contributions. No formal degree is required.
• Based in the UK, EU or US.
