Fullstack Software Engineer, AI-Native (Remote - Latin America)

Salary: USD 4,000 - 5,000 per month (USD 48,000 - 60,000 per year), depending on seniority and skill set. This is a remote contract role with a talent services firm that places Latin American developers and designers with international client companies. The engineer will sit within a client product team, working on backend services, data-heavy APIs and TypeScript frontend features, and will also help the team adopt AI-assisted development practices at scale. The position suits a mid-to-senior engineer who communicates well and enjoys shaping how a team works.

What you'll do

• Partner with product teams to define and carry out technical requirements
• Design and build backend services and APIs, including integrations between systems, on relational data
• Translate complex, changing business domains into clear data schemas and API contracts
• Deliver full features end to end, including TypeScript frontend work
• Help the team standardize shared AI development workflows, tooling and CI/CD integration

What you need

• Mid-to-senior engineer with solid backend and data modeling fundamentals
• Production experience with relational databases and designing APIs
• Production experience with Ruby (preferred), Node.js/TypeScript (preferred) or Python
• Experience with AWS or another enterprise cloud platform
• Daily use of agentic AI coding tools, and experience rolling out AI-assisted workflows across a team, including CI/CD
• Strong English written and spoken communication; based in Latin America
