Junior JavaScript Developer (Node.js & MongoDB)

This is a full-time, fully remote software development role open to candidates based in Nigeria. The work centres on backend development with Node.js and MongoDB, with scope to add frontend and AI-related skills over time. It suits early-career developers who already have some professional JavaScript experience and want to grow their backend skills in a practical, team-based setting. Successful candidates will first complete a mandatory one-week client training session before starting project work.

What you'll do

• Develop backend applications using Node.js (ES6+)
• Manage MongoDB databases, including CRUD operations and queries
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs
• Handle asynchronous programming and debug application issues
• Use Git for version control and collaborate across the software development pipeline
• Complete a mandatory one-week client training session

What you need

• At least 2 years of professional JavaScript experience
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• Working knowledge of Node.js (ES6+) and MongoDB
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming and debugging
• Experience using Git (bonus: React or Vue.js, HTML/CSS, or integrating AI APIs)
