Mobile Engineer (Remote - Europe and US East Coast)

You must be able to work across GMT-5 to GMT+1 time zones. This is a remote-first role with a fast-growing AI research and product company. You will own a small consumer music app that covers listening, creating, remixing and sharing, working on iOS and Android. The team is lean and autonomous, with very fast build and release cycles, and currently one engineer maintains the iOS app alone. The role is built to make mobile a leading force in product direction rather than a follow-on to web features.

What you'll do

• Own the mobile app across iOS and Android, from design through release and maintenance
• Shape product decisions for musicians and creators, not only implement them
• Design the mobile architecture and its integration with backend services
• Ship improvements quickly, often within a day or two of an idea
• Set and hold a high bar for interface quality and user experience

What you need

• A track record of shipping a polished, production mobile app with real users, and the ability to show what you personally owned
• Strong systems thinking across mobile and backend work
• Working knowledge of SwiftUI or Kotlin Jetpack Compose (either is acceptable)
• Clear, opinionated view on what makes a mobile experience great
• Comfortable working on your own with loose direction and taking ownership of outcomes
• Able to work within GMT-5 to GMT+1 time zones
