Nephrology Nurse (Double Qualified)

A full-time onsite nursing role in Kubwa, Abuja, supporting patients with kidney disease in a hospital setting. It suits an experienced registered nurse with a background in renal or dialysis care who is comfortable working across haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and critical care, and who enjoys teaching patients how to manage long-term kidney health. The hospital is a faith-based healthcare provider in the Federal Capital Territory.

What you'll do

• Monitor patients' vital signs, fluid balance and lab results before, during and after treatment
• Carry out haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures and support CRRT in critical care
• Care for dialysis access such as AV fistulas, grafts and central venous catheters
• Administer prescribed medications and manage renal treatment complications
• Educate patients on renal diets, fluid restrictions and long-term kidney disease care
• Keep clinical records and follow infection prevention protocols

What you need

• Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse/Midwife qualification
• B.Sc. in Nursing or equivalent nursing degree
• Valid NMCN practising licence
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a renal or dialysis unit
• Knowledge of haemodialysis equipment, BLS, ACLS and electronic medical records
• Strong communication, patience and crisis-management skills
