Principal Product Manager

A senior product role leading a portfolio of machine learning, generative AI and data products for a data team at a lending-focused financial technology organisation. The position suits an experienced product leader who can connect technical delivery to measurable business results, from business cases signed off by finance through to models running in production. It is a remote role open to candidates worldwide, best suited to someone comfortable working across engineering, operations, risk and leadership, and who builds prototypes hands-on rather than only writing specifications.

What you'll do

• Drive an portfolio of ML, GenAI and data products from concept through to production with cross-functional teams
• Run data leadership decision forums and align the roadmap with quarterly objectives and key results
• Write business cases with conservative and aggressive forecasts and measure outcomes such as cost, quality and hours saved
• Manage phased QA, human evaluation and governance steps before models scale
• Coordinate vendor and third-party data purchasing and renewals to reduce spend without losing coverage
• Build prototypes with low-code and AI tools and work closely with engineers on architecture decisions

What you need

• 6+ years of product management on complex technical or data products
• Experience taking ML or GenAI products from 0 to 1 into production with proven business impact
• Strong business case skills, including sizing, forecasting, ROI and finance sign-off
• Experience managing initiatives and dependencies across multiple teams
• Hands-on builder mindset, comfortable with prototyping, SQL and AI tools
