Product Auditor

This remote role based in Lagos, Nigeria, offers independent assurance over the controls behind payment, wallet, settlement and switching products. It suits an auditor who enjoys combining product thinking, data analysis and risk management in a fast-moving financial technology business. The work involves reviewing products before and after launch, testing transaction logic and reporting findings to senior leadership and governance bodies. Candidates with a background in systems or financial audit, payment operations or data analytics, and a working knowledge of regulated payment flows in Nigeria, will find it a good fit.

What you'll do

• Maintain a risk-ranked register of payment products, features and integrations and plan audit coverage accordingly
• Review product requirements and transaction workflows before go-live and provide control design sign-off for material releases
• Periodically assess live products to confirm they operate as approved and analyse transaction data for emerging risks
• Test fee calculations, settlement reconciliation, reversals and refunds using SQL and data analysis
• Review change management over fee tables, routing rules and limits, and the integrity of product master data
• Lead post-incident reviews and root cause analysis, and track corrective actions to closure

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, finance or a related quantitative field
• 3 to 5+ years in product audit, systems audit, financial data analytics or payment operations in fintech or financial services
• Advanced SQL for data extraction and transaction interrogation
• Understanding of payment architecture including wallets, card processing, direct debit, settlement and reconciliation
• Knowledge of CBN guidelines, PCI DSS and consumer protection obligations
• CISA, CIA or CFE preferred; ACA or ACCA considered with strong technical product experience
