Senior Product Designer, API and Developer Experience (Remote - Worldwide)

Hiring in the US, UK, Canada, Singapore and other countries; those outside the listed markets are employed through a global employment partner. A fast-growing enterprise software company that provides an orchestration platform for coordinating AI agents, people and systems in business processes is hiring a Senior Product Designer to own the experience of everything used without a graphical interface: the public API, command-line tools, SDKs and configuration. The role focuses on making the product fast to adopt for developers, dependable in production, and easy for AI agents to use. It is a senior, hands-on position that also sets lasting design principles across teams.

What you'll do

• Own the overall experience of the API and other headless interfaces as one coherent product, with a clear design bar.
• Define and evolve API and developer-experience conventions, including patterns, error handling and documentation standards.
• Design agent-facing surfaces such as tool descriptions, schemas and CLI output, and set measures for agent task success and error recovery.
• Co-own product initiatives with a product manager, shortening the path from a first API call to a production system.
• Work with the UI/UX designer so the interface and API feel like one product, and coach other builders on good API design.

What you need

• A design background with real experience designing API, developer or platform products; this is not a purely engineering profile.
• B2B SaaS experience, ideally in regulated industries such as finance.
• Experience designing APIs, CLIs, tool schemas or agent tools consumed by LLM agents, and an understanding of common failure modes such as unclear errors and non-idempotent calls.
• Hands-on experience with AI-first or agent-first products.
• Ability to explain complex systems clearly, confident enough to hold a position with product and engineering leaders.
• Willingness to use the company's product as part of the hiring process.
