Graphic and Editorial Design Expert

A fully remote, contract role reviewing graphic and editorial design work for posters, covers, page layouts and brand pieces. The work is about judging what works and what doesn't, and explaining why, so that reviewers can follow the reasoning. It suits experienced graphic, editorial, layout or art direction professionals who make everyday decisions about how a page or brand piece looks and reads, and who are comfortable writing clear, structured feedback.

What you'll do

• Review posters, covers, page layouts and brand pieces against a given brief and audience
• Assess hierarchy, spacing, typography, colour and how text and images work together
• Flag production issues such as wrong format, low resolution, margins and print colour
• Check whether a design fits the brief and the brand or publication style
• Write short, clear explanations for each assessment decision

What you need

• Professional experience as a graphic, editorial, layout or brand designer, or art director
• Daily use of professional design tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Figma
• Experience with real briefs, revisions, production files and client or publisher delivery
• Ability to explain clearly why a design works or does not
• Clear written English
