Product Designer, End User Experience (Remote - US only)

A full-time remote role for a Product Designer joining the end user experience team at a security-focused, open source software company with a large worldwide user base. The position centres on everyday features that individuals, families and business users rely on, including autofill, passkeys, secure sharing and data import. It suits a designer who enjoys turning complex security ideas into clear, confident experiences, works comfortably with AI tools in their process, and cares about privacy and open source. Candidates must be based in the United States, with a preference for overlap with U.S. East Coast hours.

What you'll do

• Design experiences across browser extension, web, desktop, and iOS and Android apps for individual, family and business users
• Improve key journeys such as onboarding, autofill, passkeys, secure sharing, account recovery and data import
• Explain security concepts in plain language that non-technical users can understand and act on
• Create user flows, prototypes and production-ready designs using an existing design system
• Use AI design tools to support research, ideation, rapid prototyping and iteration
• Help run user interviews and usability tests and present work in design critiques

What you need

• Based in the United States with U.S. residency
• At least 2 years of product design experience or equivalent
• Portfolio showing end-to-end design work on digital products
• Strong interaction design skills and Figma proficiency with component-based design systems
• Experience using AI tools in design work, plus front-end or AI-assisted prototyping
• Interest in cybersecurity, online privacy and open source
