Purchase Officer

An onsite purchasing role based in Lagos, suited to a organised procurement professional who enjoys sourcing goods, building supplier relationships and keeping costs under control. The post sits within a business that values sound supply chain operations, and experience in hospitality, catering, food service or fast-moving consumer goods would be an advantage. It particularly suits someone with a commerce or supply chain background who is comfortable with spreadsheets, procurement systems and coordinating across teams.

What you'll do

• Source and purchase goods and services in line with procurement procedures
• Negotiate with and manage vendors and suppliers
• Monitor costs and look for opportunities to control spending
• Maintain procurement records and use ERP and procurement software
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely supply

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• 2 to 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Experience in hospitality, catering, food service or FMCG preferred
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP and procurement software
• Good analytical, cost-control and communication skills
