Senior Product Designer (Remote - South America)

A growth-stage company running a two-sided marketplace in the affordable housing sector is hiring a senior product designer for a contract role. You will work inside a growth-focused product team on complex problems that serve both the people looking for housing and the hosts who provide it. The position suits a designer who can move between product strategy and fine interface detail while tying decisions to measurable outcomes.

What you'll do

• Lead design work from early problem framing through prototyping, launch and iteration on the marketplace.
• Turn complicated workflows, marketplace rules and multi-party dynamics into clear, approachable experiences.
• Plan and run user research, including interviews and observation with both seekers and hosts, and turn findings into design direction.
• Partner with product managers to identify opportunities and link design choices to business metrics such as occupancy and revenue.
• Design and test experiments using prototypes, A/B tests and customer feedback, then refine based on results.
• Build polished, responsive interfaces in Figma using reusable components within the company's design system, and prototype AI-assisted features with engineering and data teams.

What you need

• At least 4 years of experience designing digital products, ideally for acquisition funnels or marketplaces.
• Strong UX research skills and comfort speaking directly with users.
• Expert-level Figma and interaction design across web and mobile, with a systems-thinking approach.
• Experience designing multi-step, edge-case-heavy workflows.
• Working knowledge of experimentation, A/B testing and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered features and using modern AI tools in design practice.
• Must be located in South America, as the role is open only to candidates based in that region.
