SEO Account Manager (Remote, South Africa)

A talent placement firm is recruiting an SEO Account Manager to work with a client company in the SaaS, MarTech, FinTech, or EdTech space, or with a digital agency. You will own the client relationship, shape SEO strategy against business goals, and make sure campaigns deliver and clients stay satisfied. The role suits someone who pairs deep SEO knowledge with strong communication and presentation skills.

What you'll do

• Act as the main point of contact for assigned SEO clients and build lasting relationships
• Develop and oversee SEO strategies tied to each client's commercial objectives
• Lead client meetings, present campaign results, and recommend next steps
• Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversions, and technical health, and report on them clearly
• Coordinate content, technical, and link-building teams to deliver campaigns on time
• Review technical SEO audits, handle client concerns, and resolve performance issues

What you need

• Strong to expert knowledge of technical, on-page and off-page SEO, link building, and SEO strategy
• Proven client-facing experience in account management, sales, consulting, or client relationship roles
• Working knowledge of SEMrush, Ahrefs, SE Ranking, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager
• Ability to interpret performance data and turn it into practical recommendations
• Strong organisation skills to manage several accounts and internal delivery teams
• Based in South Africa; English fluency for client-facing work
