Software Developer II

This remote role suits an experienced developer who enjoys working directly with clients on custom technical solutions. The organisation is a software business serving the events and marketing technology space, building branded event websites and integrations for its customers. The work blends front-end craft, API-driven integration and client advisory, so it suits someone who cares as much about how a solution looks and feels as how it works, and who is comfortable leading several projects at once while keeping quality high.

What you'll do

• Build and customise branded, responsive event websites for clients
• Design and maintain integrations using REST APIs, webhooks and middleware between platforms
• Scope projects, estimate development effort and identify technical risks and dependencies
• Test, debug and deploy solutions, then hand them over with clear documentation
• Advise clients on technical approach and provide training on delivered solutions
• Manage multiple client projects to agreed deadlines and quality standards

What you need

• 5+ years of web development experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SCSS
• Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework or language such as Vue.js, React or TypeScript
• Experience building and scaling API and webhook integrations, including OAuth and API keys
• Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG) and performance
• Track record of owning branded website or integration projects and leading complex work
• Comfort using AI tools to speed up development, documentation and QA
