Staff Product Designer - Growth (Remote - Worldwide)

A fast-growing global HR and payroll software company is hiring a Staff Product Designer to lead design on its growth team. The work comes from a backlog of experiments and larger growth bets rather than a fixed roadmap. You will tie design decisions to activation, engagement, retention and revenue, working closely with engineers, product, data and marketing. The company is pre-IPO and places a strong emphasis on AI-assisted working.

What you'll do

• Lead design across growth projects and link each one to clear business metrics such as activation, engagement, retention and monetisation.
• Design, prototype and A/B test quickly with product, engineering, data and marketing partners.
• Work with the core UI team on the design system, including motion and micro-interactions in growth flows.
• Find friction points in user journeys and the team's own process, and fix them.
• Stay involved from first idea through to design QA, keeping engineers unblocked.
• Mentor product designers and improve how the design team works.

What you need

• 5-7 years of product design experience, including at least 2 years at Staff level.
• Hands-on growth design experience, such as onboarding, pricing pages, subscriptions or virality features.
• A strong portfolio with at least one detailed case study.
• Comfort with experimentation: forming hypotheses, running A/B tests and reporting measurable results, with familiarity with tools such as Amplitude or Mixpanel.
• Use of AI tools as a default part of the design workflow; AI work in your portfolio is a plus.
• Clear written and spoken communication across functions.
