Audit Officer

This Audit Officer role in Lagos supports internal audit, financial control, compliance and risk management work within an investment advisory business. It suits an accountant or finance professional with three to four years of audit, accounting or financial control experience who enjoys careful review of records, spotting control gaps and turning findings into practical recommendations. The post is hybrid, combining onsite and remote working. Strong analytical habits, integrity and clear written communication are central to the role.

What you'll do

• Conduct internal audits of financial and operational processes
• Evaluate internal controls and identify risks and process gaps
• Review financial records, transactions and supporting documents
• Prepare audit working papers, findings, reports and recommendations
• Follow up on audit findings and corrective actions
• Support risk assessments, audit planning and regulatory or external audits

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• 3–4 years' experience in internal or external audit, accounting or financial control
• ICAN, ACCA or ACA certification is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, risk management and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or audit software
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills with high integrity
