English to Bosnian (Cyrillic) Review Lead (Remote - Approved Countries Only, incl. Nigeria)
Open only to people physically located in an approved country (the posting lists more than 50, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Switzerland and many others). Candidates must be based in one of these countries; the restriction is on physical location, not citizenship. A large multilingual localization and AI content company is recruiting a freelance language lead for English to Bosnian (Cyrillic) work. The role sits between a global technology client and a translation community, acting as the locale's quality owner and main linguistic contact for the client's Language Manager. The work covers UI, marketing, informational, legal, product and support content.
What you'll do
- Review each style guide and glossary update, identify which content types and quality categories it affects, and document the changes.
- Track the client's corrections and feedback in calibration and quality calls to surface expectations that are not written down.
- Run alignment sessions with the language community and publish a short monthly quality report covering scores, priority improvement areas, guideline changes and arbitration outcomes.
- Coach reviewers one-to-one using concrete examples, run shadowing sessions and build training from alignment data.
- Turn recurring patterns in reviewer justifications into well-reasoned style guide proposals.
- Make sure every arbitration sent to the client is valid and backed by evidence, and manage clarifications and escalations with the client.
What you need
- 3 to 5+ years in localization quality assurance, senior language lead or quality governance roles.
- Hands-on experience as the primary contact for client language managers, including formal arbitration or escalation handling.
- Practical knowledge of localization quality frameworks such as RQE, LQE, error typologies and severity mapping.
- Ability to analyse style guide changes and map quality tolerance across content types (for example marketing versus legal versus UI).
- Native-level Bosnian (Cyrillic) and professional-level English.
- Must be physically located in an approved country and pass a background check during onboarding.
- Experience with major technology localization programs and calibration or alignment tools is a plus.
