Global Controller

A senior finance leadership role for an experienced accountant to oversee accounting operations for a software company serving businesses worldwide. The position is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in the world. It suits a seasoned controller who combines deep US GAAP knowledge, especially in subscription revenue recognition, with a practical interest in automating finance processes and improving accuracy at scale.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop an accounting team, including managers and leads
• Oversee accurate revenue recognition for subscription and usage-based products
• Own the monthly close and financial reporting processes
• Drive automation of manual reconciliations and accounting workflows

What you need

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading a team through managers or leads
• Big 4 or equivalent top-tier public accounting foundation
• Deep US GAAP expertise, particularly ASC 606 for subscription and usage-based revenue
• Demonstrated automation or AI deployment in accounting with a measurable result
