Lead, Channels and Audit Analytics

This senior internal audit role is based remotely in Nigeria and focuses on assurance over digital channels, payments products and technology-enabled business processes at a fast-growing Nigerian fintech. The position suits an experienced auditor who combines risk-based audit judgement with strong data analytics, and who enjoys translating complex transaction data into practical insights. The role also involves coaching junior auditors and working closely with product, engineering, risk and compliance colleagues to strengthen controls and customer experience.

What you'll do

• Lead risk-based audits of digital channels, payment products and customer journeys
• Design and run audit analytics and continuous monitoring routines to spot control failures and unusual patterns
• Assess enterprise risks and control effectiveness across digital channels and payment ecosystems
• Analyse large datasets to provide insights on transaction integrity, fraud trends and reconciliation
• Review workpapers and prepare clear audit reports with practical recommendations
• Follow up on management action plans and coach Associates and Senior Associates

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in internal audit, audit analytics, technology audit, risk or consulting in financial services or fintech
• One of ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA or CFE
• Strong SQL and data interrogation skills, with hands-on use of tools such as Python, Power BI or Metabase
• Understanding of payment systems, digital banking, APIs and IT general controls
• Excellent report writing and stakeholder influence skills
