Math Competition Tutor, AMC 8 and AMC 10 (Remote - US only)

Pay: $20/hr - $25/hr (hourly rate). Lessons are delivered online one-on-one, with availability needed for weekday evenings and weekends. A growing education technology company that offers extracurricular K-12 learning through science and technology is expanding its math competition program for students in North America. Tutors work one-on-one with students online to prepare them for the AMC 8 and AMC 10 contests. The role suits someone who enjoys teaching problem solving and helping young learners build confidence with competition math.

What you'll do

• Deliver live one-on-one online lessons focused on AMC 8 and AMC 10 preparation
• Teach in English using interactive, problem-based methods that build analytical and logical reasoning
• Walk students through competition-style problems and explain the core ideas and strategies behind them
• Build systematic approaches to common competition topics such as number theory, algebra, counting, probability, and geometry
• Coach students on confidence and test-taking strategy for math contests
• Give timely, targeted feedback to support steady improvement

What you need

• Bachelor's degree or higher; degrees in math, economics, finance, or a related field are preferred
• Strong math foundation, ideally with experience in AMC, AIME, MATHCOUNTS, or other math competitions
• Prior competition math teaching or tutoring experience is highly preferred
• Fluent English for teaching; Mandarin proficiency is a plus
• Able to work weekday evenings and weekends, and be based in the United States
