Online Tutor (Kindergarten, Igbo & Yoruba)

A part-time remote role with an online tutoring organisation that supports African children living abroad with personalised virtual lessons, cultural identity, and a supportive learning community. Tutors teach kindergarten learners and offer Igbo and Yoruba language lessons. The role suits patient, tech-comfortable teachers with classroom experience who enjoy building children's confidence and sharing their language and culture. Candidates should be comfortable teaching one-to-one or in small groups from a home setup.

What you'll do

• Deliver structured, interactive online lessons one-on-one or in small groups
• Prepare lesson plans in line with the curriculum
• Assess student progress and give constructive feedback
• Use digital tools such as slides, whiteboards and videos
• Upload lesson materials and reports as required
• Share progress updates with parents or guardians when needed

What you need

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in education or a related field
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, online or offline
• Experience working with children or teenagers
• Reliable laptop, stable internet and headset with clear audio
• Quiet, professional teaching space
• Proficiency with tools such as Zoom or Google Meet and willingness to train and be observed
