What you'll do

• Own a proactive media and thought-leadership narrative on privacy, security, AI, open source and emerging regulation, moving ahead of the debate rather than reacting to it.
• Place a steady cadence of op-eds, blog posts, policy statements and other pieces that bring the company's policy positions to the right audiences.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, policymakers, civil society groups and technology commentators.
• Draft and edit press releases, regulatory submissions, speeches and executive briefings.
• Prepare senior spokespeople for high-stakes media and policy engagements, including message development and issue briefings.
• Advise colleagues in marketing, legal, product and engineering, and act as escalation point in complex or crisis situations.

What you need

• 5-10 years of experience in policy communications, media relations or a related field, ideally in technology, advocacy or policy environments.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex policy into clear, compelling narratives.
• Deep knowledge of technology policy, including privacy, data, AI, competition, digital rights and internet regulation.
• Proven record of building relationships with journalists and policy organisations in Europe and beyond.
• Experience advising senior leaders on high-profile communications and issues management.
• Comfort working independently in a global, remote team; additional European languages such as French or German are an asset.
