Quality Control Officer (Architect)

A full-time onsite quality role with a furniture manufacturing and interiors company in Lagos and Ogun, focused on high-end, functional pieces and spaces. The post suits a registered or registrable architect with a detail-oriented eye, several years of experience in architecture, interiors, furniture or fit-out, and a strong interest in workmanship and production standards. The role blends technical inspection with coaching artisans and keeping clear records, so it will appeal to someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving on the production floor.

What you'll do

• Inspect work at key production stages such as carcass, upholstery, finishing, spray painting and assembly
• Check alignment, dimensions, firmness, finish quality and overall workmanship
• Issue quality pass, hold or rework decisions and prevent defective work moving forward
• Identify defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Keep inspection reports, checklists and rework records, and submit weekly quality reports
• Train staff and artisans on quality standards and take part in audits and improvement sessions

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Registered Architect or eligible for registration with ARCON
• At least 3 years' experience in architecture, interior design, furniture, fit-out or project coordination
• Good understanding of furniture detailing, materials, measurements and production processes
• Strong attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility
• Excellent communication and project management skills
