Senior QA Analyst (Data & ETL)

A remote, full-time senior role for a QA professional who validates data pipelines, reports and applications for client projects. It suits an experienced tester who is equally at home writing complex SQL and applying disciplined QA methods, and who enjoys sharing technical knowledge with peers. The organisation is a digital product firm with about 25 years in the industry, working in agile sprints with an emphasis on work-life balance and mentoring. The role combines hands-on testing with planning, client communication and team leadership.

What you'll do

• Validate data from source to target, including transformations, completeness and end-to-end flows against specifications and mapping documents
• Write complex SQL queries to check data quality, including duplicates, joins, keys and reconciliation
• Test SSRS and Power BI outputs against independently written queries
• Perform automated and API testing for complex applications and document edge cases
• Help the sprint team understand acceptance criteria and track testing progress
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to recruiting interviews

What you need

• Strong, hands-on T-SQL skills for writing complex queries from scratch
• Experience validating ETL and data warehouse pipelines
• Solid QA methodology, including test planning, strategy and positive and negative testing
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS and Power BI
• Five to eight years of professional experience in relevant testing and projects
• Experience coaching or mentoring, and presenting to client stakeholders
