SaaS Product Manager

A remote contract role for a delivery-focused product manager to take a digital platform from its current partly built state to a successful MVP launch. The platform is a SaaS product that connects African researchers, innovators and businesses with mentorship, funding and commercialisation opportunities. Some features are already complete and a development team and designers are in place, so the work centres on assessing the product, setting clear priorities and coordinating the team through testing and release. The role suits an experienced product manager who is comfortable owning an existing product, working independently and managing competing priorities in a remote setting.

What you'll do

• Review existing documentation, roadmap and outstanding tasks, and set a prioritised plan for the MVP launch
• Coordinate developers and designers, manage the backlog and run sprint planning and reviews
• Turn business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate functional testing and user acceptance testing, and assess launch readiness
• Provide regular delivery updates and maintain product documentation and decision logs
• Support product roadmaps and information for stakeholder presentations and fundraising

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• At least 7 years of product management experience with ownership of digital product delivery
• Hands-on experience working with developers and designers on digital products or SaaS solutions
• Experience taking an MVP or significant release from development through testing and deployment
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, backlog prioritisation and acceptance criteria
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Linear, Trello or Asana

Applicants must be based in: Nigeria.
