Staff Program Manager, Human & LLM Data Annotation Operations (Remote - US only)
This is a senior operations leadership role at a large, established online community platform with a global user base. You will own the central function that produces high-quality data labels used to train and evaluate advertising and consumer product models. The role is a 0-to-1 build, combining program management, vendor coordination and the design of LLM-assisted labeling workflows.
What you'll do
- Own and scale the intake process for labeling requests from consumer and advertising teams, and prioritize work against agreed criteria and business impact.
- Design and execute the operational roadmap for adding LLM-assisted labeling to complement human vendor teams and increase throughput.
- Standardize taxonomy guidelines and run multi-quarter labeling projects that support product experiments and safety systems.
- Work with product managers, data scientists and operations leaders to turn product goals into clear human and machine labeling tasks.
- Partner with the vendor manager to hand off guidelines, resolve complex edge cases and set up feedback loops on task quality.
- Build and document SLA frameworks, quality assurance practices and throughput metrics for all labeling domains.
What you need
- 7+ years in data operations, program management or vendor operations, with a strong focus on data labeling, training data or taxonomy work.
- Proven record of aligning product and engineering leaders and enforcing structured prioritization.
- Ability to turn vague product requirements into unambiguous labeling instructions, edge-case decision trees and classification schemas.
- Hands-on experience using LLMs, synthetic data or automated tooling to support vendor annotation workflows.
- Experience working with internal vendor operations teams to convert project requirements into executable guidelines and handle escalations.
- Must be authorized to work and be located in the United States.
- Preferred: experience across both advertising and consumer product organizations; strong SQL skills for analyzing vendor quality, throughput and SLA data.
Applicants must be based in: United States.
