Product Manager, New Project Type (Remote - Worldwide)

The company hires globally and has no office requirement. A developer infrastructure company that offers a full backend platform (database, authentication, storage, serverless functions, realtime and vector search) is hiring a product manager to lead a new type of lightweight project for software built by AI agents. The goal is to make a backend available the moment an agent starts an app, prototype or experiment, and to define how those projects grow into full production systems. The team is fully remote, open-source-first and works asynchronously.

What you'll do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for this new project type, from early MVP through general availability.
• Make the product effortless for AI agents and the platforms that run them, so setup is instant.
• Define the path from experiment to production, including how projects are claimed, upgraded and moved onto the full platform.
• Work with engineering, growth and finance on packaging and pricing so the offering stays economical at very large scale.
• Work closely with platform customers to understand their needs and bring the product to them first.
• Set success metrics, instrument them end to end and use the data to decide what to build next.

What you need

• 5+ years of product management experience on developer tools or infrastructure, or a background as a founder with strong product judgment.
• A clear point of view on how agent-driven development changes what developers and platforms need from a backend.
• Working knowledge of AI evals, controlled experiments and data analysis.
• A bias toward shipping, learning and iterating over perfecting a spec.
• Comfort making decisions in writing and working asynchronously across time zones.
• Hands-on use of AI tools to speed up research, drafting and feedback synthesis.

Open to applicants anywhere in the world.
