Sales Engineer (Remote - EMEA)

Candidates must be able to work the core hours needed to meet European and Middle Eastern prospects. A fast-growing software company that provides product search and discovery technology to large ecommerce retailers is hiring a Sales Engineer to support its enterprise sales team in the EMEA region. You will lead the technical side of the sales process, working alongside Account Executives and prospective customers to shape integration approaches and show how the platform can deliver measurable business results. The role is consultative and architecture-focused rather than demo-heavy, and it sits between customer engineering teams and the company's product and engineering groups.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery and design integration approaches for prospective enterprise customers, including APIs, ecommerce platforms, product information systems, content systems and data pipelines
• Scope and run lightweight proof-of-concept projects with clear, business-aligned success criteria
• Present technical material to both business leaders and engineering teams, and act as the main technical advisor during evaluations
• Troubleshoot APIs, SDKs and integration patterns, and build small prototypes or demo tooling as needed
• Help answer RFP and RFI requests and feed customer insights back to product and engineering teams

What you need

• At least 3 years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, pre-sales architecture or a similar technical pre-sales role
• Hands-on experience with API-first products, including REST, JSON, webhooks and SDK integration, and comfort debugging with tools such as Postman
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript or Python, enough to read integration code and build simple prototypes
• Experience designing and running custom demos or pilots, and confidence presenting to C-suite and technical audiences
• Practical experience using AI coding tools to automate workflows
• Strong written and spoken English; professional proficiency in Italian, French, Spanish or German is a plus
