Senior Financial Analyst

A senior finance role based onsite in Abuja, supporting a turnaround and business advisory practice that works with SMEs and mid-sized companies. The firm restructures and relaunches businesses, provides fractional CFO and strategy support, and takes part in transactions and selective investments. The work is hands-on, with the team staying alongside client boards and management until performance improves. This suits a qualified accountant or finance professional with strong modelling skills, experience in manufacturing, advisory, credit or restructuring environments, and an interest in turning around businesses.

What you'll do

• Establish financial baselines for client engagements by verifying financial position, obligations and cost structure
• Lead analysis of costs, margins and profitability
• Develop budgets, forecasts, funding plans and scenario models to inform recovery decisions
• Put in place cash management, management reporting and financial controls
• Prepare valuations and financial analysis for advisory, transaction and investment work
• Support the monitoring and pricing of the firm's own engagements

What you need

• Fully qualified ICAN, ACCA or CIMA (essential); CFA an advantage
• First degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a quantitative discipline; MSc or MBA an advantage
• 5–7 years' post-graduation experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing or FMCG finance, Big 4 or mid-tier advisory, bank credit or restructuring, or private equity
• Hands-on standard costing experience in manufacturing preferred
• Expert Excel modelling; working knowledge of SAGE or a comparable ERP; knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax and statutory obligations
• Willingness to travel to client sites, including factories outside Lagos
