Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Remote - Worldwide)

A fast-growing enterprise software company that provides a platform for orchestrating AI agents, people and systems across complex business processes is hiring the first cohort of Forward Deployed Engineers for a new product. The product turns natural-language process descriptions into executable workflows and improves them from production data. You will take enterprise customers from the first process file to a live, improving system, then hand the working capability to the customer's own team. Your field work will also shape the product itself.

What you'll do

• Own deployments end to end, with at least one production workflow and a working improvement loop within 90 days, and 3 to 5 viable customer deployments within 12 months.
• Configure and run orchestration clusters locally and in cloud environments, and debug integration failures across Java services and React interfaces.
• Write custom agents where platform defaults fall short, and build connector logic that links legacy enterprise systems to the platform.
• Work with technical and business stakeholders to build trust and turn early deployments into lasting customer capability.
• Document a repeatable deployment playbook, and feed reusable agents, integration patterns and production fixes back into the product.
• Train customer teams so they can operate and improve the system without ongoing help from you.

What you need

• Experience shipping software inside a large enterprise and supporting it in production, with an understanding of governance and resilience at scale.
• Strong technical depth: debugging integrations, writing agents against legacy APIs, standing up a clustered orchestration platform, and explaining generated workflow models to engineers and business leaders.
• Practical experience using AI in production, including context management, prompt engineering, agent testing and integration trade-offs.
• Clear communication across engineering, architecture and business leadership, and comfort making sound judgment calls without an existing playbook.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Nice to have: customer-facing engineering or professional services experience, work in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare or insurance, production experience with agentic or AI-integrated workflows, or contributions to a shared platform or open source project.
