Senior Tax Officer

This onsite role in Lagos suits a tax professional who enjoys combining hands-on compliance with forward-looking planning. The post sits within a multi-entity business with contracts, projects and subsidiaries, so the work covers both day-to-day tax obligations and advice that helps the wider group manage its tax position efficiently. It is a good fit for someone with solid knowledge of Nigerian tax law and experience in asset-heavy sectors such as energy services, engineering or construction. Accounting or legal training and a recognised professional qualification would be strong advantages.

What you'll do

• Lead the group's tax compliance across Nigerian tax obligations
• Support tax planning and provide tax advisory across contracts, projects and subsidiaries
• Manage tax risk and help maintain adherence to applicable laws
• Oversee other regulatory compliance linked to tax matters
• Support efficient tax management across business operations

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related discipline
• 3 to 5 years' relevant tax experience
• Good knowledge of oil and gas, oilfield services, engineering or construction industry tax
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or CITN strongly preferred
