Software Developer (Market Setup)

A remote software role in a trading technology business that connects trading venues to its platform. The developer takes one venue at a time from signed agreement to first live trade, adapting market data and order entry connectors to each venue's binary protocols, delivering product and risk data, and preparing operating guidance for the desk. Suits experienced C++ engineers who enjoy low-latency systems, careful testing, and project-based work with an international team. Fully remote, with flexible hours and a competitive package.

What you'll do

• Scope a trading venue's specifications and estimate the platform setup work
• Design connectivity with the infrastructure team, including network lines, multicast, firewall rules and failover
• Adapt market data and order entry connectors to venue binary protocols, including sessions, recovery and reject handling
• Deliver complete raw product and risk parameter data to the team that normalises it
• Convert historical venue archives into the platform format and validate against live captures
• Measure and tune latency using hardware timestamps, and pass venue and internal conformance tests

What you need

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented programming in C++
• Understanding of Linux system internals
• Good written and spoken English for an international team
• Able to work well in a remote or hybrid team on variable, project-based responsibilities
• Nice to have: low-latency or real-time development experience, lock-free programming, C programming
