Solar2D Game Developer

A contract role for an experienced Solar2D developer to support an AI training project focused on 2D game development. The work is fully remote and open to applicants worldwide. Across short tasks, you would build and refine 2D games, then walk through your workflow step by step so that AI systems can better understand how games are made. It suits developers who enjoy hands-on Lua work, care about clear technical explanation, and are comfortable recording their screen while they work.

What you'll do

• Create and modify 2D games using Solar2D (Corona SDK)
• Work with Lua scripting, game mechanics, animations and UI elements
• Develop and improve player controls, physics and collision detection
• Debug issues and optimise game performance
• Complete advanced Solar2D tasks and explain each step of the workflow
• Write clear instructions and detailed prompts for game development tasks

What you need

• Strong hands-on experience with Solar2D (Corona SDK)
• Good knowledge of Lua and 2D game development
• Experience with game mechanics, animations and debugging
• Access to Solar2D and ability to record your screen while working
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Ability to explain technical workflows clearly
