• Build dependable, scalable backend services and APIs for accounting and financial workflows, and help extend them into adjacent product areas.
• Turn ambiguous product and business problems into simple, durable technical solutions.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Operations, Compliance and external providers on cross-functional initiatives.
• Balance fast delivery against the reliability standards required for financial workflows.
• Raise the engineering bar through system design, code quality, clear communication and mentoring.

What you need

• 5 to 10+ years of experience building production backend systems, APIs, services or distributed systems.
• Strong product judgment, curiosity about customers, and comfort operating in fast-moving, high-growth environments with incomplete information.
• Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams, including external partners.
• Background in fintech, accounting, payroll, payments, banking, compliance-heavy products or complex third-party integrations is valued.
• Useful but not mandatory: Python, Go, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes or GCP.
• Must be based within the European Union to apply.
