Software Engineer, AI Data (Remote, India)

This is a software engineering role on the AI team of a fast-growing audio and AI company with a fully distributed workforce. The engineer will build the data pipelines that feed model training and new AI products. The work centers on large-scale data at very low cost, combining engineering, infrastructure and research. The company describes its culture as asynchronous and autonomy-driven.

What you'll do

• Find new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines to bring them into training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems with a focus on quality, throughput and cost.
• Work closely with AI scientists to improve training data and support next-generation model development.
• Own engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and ongoing improvement.

What you need

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with solid backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, ideally data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous settings.
• Must be based in India.
• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition or distributed data-processing systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, particularly GCP and Terraform.
