Study Research Consultant

A short-term consultancy in Abuja for a research consultant to review policy and evidence on advanced HIV disease, severe bacterial infections and antimicrobial resistance. The work covers a desk review, identifying gaps in care, and turning findings into practical recommendations for healthcare delivery. The organisation is a non-governmental group focused on improving care for children living with advanced HIV disease. The role suits an experienced public health researcher or evidence synthesis specialist with strong HIV programming and antimicrobial stewardship knowledge, who can produce clear technical reports for donors and government stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Review HIV, advanced HIV disease and antimicrobial resistance policies
• Analyse research on severe bacterial infections and antibiotic treatment
• Identify gaps in diagnosis, treatment and antimicrobial stewardship
• Develop an inception report, data extraction matrix and technical reports
• Provide evidence-based recommendations for improving healthcare delivery

What you need

• Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases, Health Systems, Global Health or a related field
• At least 10 years' experience in public health research, programme evaluation or evidence synthesis
• Proven experience conducting systematic or desk reviews
• Strong knowledge of HIV programming and antimicrobial stewardship
• Experience preparing technical reports for donors or government stakeholders
